Rental rates in the Emirate of Sharjah in the 3rd quarter of 2024 increased by 16% year-on-year. In the elite segment, the growth was 19%. These are the data of the real estate management company Asteco.
The cost of housing in Sharjah increased by 5.9% in July and September, depending on the area. Office rental rates have risen by 9-13%.
The reason for the positive dynamics is recent legislative reforms, namely allowing foreign citizens to purchase real estate, as well as the fact that renting in neighboring Dubai has become very expensive.
Sharjah is home to 1.8 million people. It is the third most populous of the seven emirates of the UAE.
