The number of ads for the sale of real estate by Russians in Finland has increased, after last week representatives of the Finnish authorities reported on the possible introduction of new requirements for Russian citizens entering the country. This was reported by the publication Yle.
The new rules will affect, in particular, the owners of real estate. Now they will have to prove that the maintenance or repair work of the facility really requires their personal presence. Today, owners of Finnish housing from Russia can come to carry out repair work.
The head of the consular department of the Foreign Ministry, Jussi Tanner, clarified that the Finnish side does not yet have a clear line on this issue.
Russians seeking to sell an apartment or a house in Finland are trying to find buyers among their compatriots and conduct a transaction in rubles. According to Finnish realtors, they cannot take an object for sale if the seller does not have a bank account opened in Finland.
