The Romanian government expects to issue a total of 100,000 work visas in 2025 in order to reduce the labor shortage in the Romanian market.
Thus, the quota for foreign workers will remain at the same level for the fourth year in a row.
During 2024, 99,268 work visas were issued, and almost 6,000 are still being processed at the beginning of 2025.
Most of the open vacancies remain unfilled in the construction industry, the restaurant business, and transportation.
