The Monaco real estate market was on the rise in 2022, having overcome the crisis of the previous two or two years associated with the consequences of the pandemic. 520 transactions were made, which is 18.2% more than in 2021, but still less than in 2014-2016.
In terms of sales in monetary terms, the market grew by 51.8%, reaching a record amount of 3.54 billion euros.
In the primary market of Monaco, 88 apartments worth almost 1.2 billion euros were sold in 2022, which is a new record. 432 transactions worth about 2.3 billion euros were concluded on the secondary market.
The average cost per square meter in 2022 is 51,000 euros per sq. m. After a significant increase was recorded in 2021 (+9%), last year, on the contrary, there was a slight drop (on average -1.8% or -1000 euros).
In 10 years, real estate in the principality has risen in price by more than 60%.
