A new digital immigration platform will be launched in Slovakia from December 15, 2024, Fragomen writes.
What can be done through this platform?
- Apply for any kind of residence permit.
- Apply for an extension of a temporary residence permit.
- Apply for a passport.
- Apply for an extension of the EU Blue Card.
However, not the entire process of obtaining a residence permit has gone online. Within 30 days after submitting the electronic application, applicants will need to personally come to the migration service to take fingerprints. The residence permit card will be delivered by courier.
Today, all procedures related to obtaining a residence permit and other documents take place in the office. The innovation will facilitate the procedure and save time.
