A new visa program has been launched in Slovenia since November 21, 2025. It will provide remote workers from abroad with the opportunity to live and work in the country on a digital nomad visa.
To obtain this visa, applicants must confirm that they are employed or freelance in foreign companies or with foreign clients.
Income requirements: about 1,600 euros per month, which is twice the average salary in Slovenia.
Applicants will also need medical insurance and a criminal record certificate.
The visa is issued for one year and can be extended, but only after a break.
Slovenia is known for its high safety rating, which makes it one of the countries with the highest quality of life. It is also attracted by convenient transport links to major European cities.
