In May and June of each year, the demand for real estate on the coast of the Gulf of Riga increases, and in the spring of 2012, experts note an increase in demand from buyers by 15% per year, according to the online publication The Baltic Course, referring to data from Baltic Sotheby's International Realty.

Compared to May of last year, the demand for elite housing in Jurmala increased by 15%, and in January 2012 demand was higher than in the same period of 2011. Moreover, about 70% of all buyers are interested in buying apartments mainly in new projects.

Experts note the growing interest in luxury real estate in such areas of Jurmala as Lielupe and Bulduri, as well as outside the resort from the city of Engure to Roy – this area is quieter and the land plots here are more spacious.
