In the country as a whole, the average price per square meter for an apartment in 2020 was 4831 euros, and for houses - 3360 euros.
At the same time, the highest average apartment price was recorded in the province of Tyrol - 5503 euros, which was 14% higher than the average, and outstripped the capital Vienna, where this figure was 5340 euros.
Private houses in Tyrol are even more expensive. According to the real estate agency Engel & Vlkers, the average purchase price for a home in Kitzbhel, one of the most sought-after areas in the region, in 2020 ranged from 6,829 to 10,174 euros per square meter.
