The average cost per square meter in Tyrol has exceeded 5,500 euros, The Local reports.

Today property prices in Tyrol are among the most expensive in Austria and are not expected to decline any time soon.

In the country as a whole, the average price per square meter for an apartment in 2020 was 4831 euros, and for houses - 3360 euros.

At the same time, the highest average apartment price was recorded in the province of Tyrol - 5503 euros, which was 14% higher than the average, and outstripped the capital Vienna, where this figure was 5340 euros.

Private houses in Tyrol are even more expensive. According to the real estate agency Engel & Vlkers, the average purchase price for a home in Kitzbhel, one of the most sought-after areas in the region, in 2020 ranged from 6,829 to 10,174 euros per square meter.
