Land prices in the Spanish cities fell by 9.3% in the second quarter of 2014 compared to the same period in the previous year. It is reported portal Spanish Property Insight referring to the Ministry of public services. In comparison with the previous quarter, the average price of urban land increased by 3.5% to 146.4 euros per sq.m. This is due to the growing demand, caused by the low prices. In the second quarter it was purchased about 5.6 million square meters of urban land, recording an annual growth of 13.9%. In large cities, the sales volume increased by 9.9% compared with 2013 year. In cities with a population of more than 50,000 urban land prices fell by 16.9%. The indicators vary depending on the region.
