The Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports is preparing to introduce the TM6 online form, which will become mandatory for all foreign citizens entering Thailand by air, sea and land from May 1. Previously, this form had a paper appearance.
The government plans to levy a tourist fee of 300 baht, but it probably won't start doing so this year. The Electronic Entry Permit (ETA) will not be introduced yet either.
According to an anonymous source in the ministry, who was interviewed by the Bangkok Post, the introduction of the digital form may be delayed. "It may take several months or even a year before the system starts working smoothly."
