The Turkish Migration Department has introduced some changes to the procedures for obtaining and extending a residence permit.

Another innovation is that foreign citizens must register with the National Supplementary Notification System (UETS) after registering an address. You can do this via e-Devlet. Applications for the extension of a residence permit without registration with UETS are not processed. UETS is a service for providing legal notices in electronic form, which replaces traditional methods such as mailing.
