Tour operators have advised Russian citizens who plan to visit Europe in the spring and summer of 2025 to take care of applying for a visa in advance to avoid delays.
The States of the Schengen area accept applications six months before the expected date of travel. However, the closer the high season gets, the more difficult it will be to sign up for a Schengen visa, so you should not hesitate.
The increased demand for visas, according to forecasts of the Russian Association of Tour Operators, will begin in March and will remain until September.
The Italian visa application center in Moscow is the fastest in issuing visas to Russians today. As experts have found out, you can sign up for an interview in seven to ten days. Next, there will be two to three weeks of waiting for the visa to be ready.
France and Spain also issue visas to Russians fairly quickly.However, it is more difficult to sign up for an application.At the moment, there are no available slots at the French visa application center in Moscow until the end of March. The Spanish Visa Application Center will distribute the entry for the second half of February in the near future. Both countries consider Russian applications for a Schengen visa within three weeks.The Greek Visa Application Center also processes visa applications quickly in about seven business days.
