In 2014, total revenue of Montenegro from tourism amounted to ˆ733,2 million or 20% of the country's GDP – the report of the world Council for tourism and travel (WTTC). This tells the portal Balkanpro.

The experts predict that this year the income of tourist industry of Montenegro will increase by 7.9%. In the next 10 years it will grow annually by 7.7%, reaching by the year 2025 ˆ1.66 billion, or 31.9 per cent of the country's GDP.

The speed with which increases the contribution of tourism to GDP, Montenegro is ranked 7th among 184 countries of the world.

Investments in the sector of travel and tourism of Montenegro in 2014 amounted to ˆ234,9 million, or 30.1% of total investment in the economy. According to the forecast of WTTC, in 2015 is expected to increase investment in the field of tourism of Montenegro by 15.6%. In the next 10 years they will be increased annually by 8.2%, experts of the world Council for tourism and travel, and by 2025 will reach ˆ594,8 million, or 53.2% of total investments.
