In the first quarter of 2012, Spain had completed 30,151 homes, 31.4% less compared to the same period in 2011, when the number of houses built was 43,958, according to the Spanish internet portal Kyero reports citing official data. Of the total number of projects completed 98.2% (29 630) was built by private developers and 1.7% (521) state. Experts also note the decline in the construction of new homes in the country in 2011. In total in 2011 the 167,914 homes, up 34.7% compared with the previous year was built. According to the publication El Mundo, Spain is the fourth consecutive year, reduced the number of finished houses.
