- Availability of accommodation in Italy (short-term booking is no longer enough, you need a rental agreement).
- The reality of remote work (they may ask you to prove that you really work for foreign clients/employers, and do not plan to work in Italy).
Realistic review time: from 30 to 70 days, depending on the workload of a particular consulate.
Those who have moved on a digital nomad visa can apply for a 50% reduction in income tax for up to 5 years (or up to 10 years under certain conditions, such as buying a home or having children).
Recall that this visa program prohibits working for Italian companies or individuals. The visa is issued for 1 year with the possibility of extension. Spouses and children under the age of 18 can move together with the main applicant.
