In Nicosia, construction of an elite project has begun on the site of a former military base with the involvement of large financial investments from Qatar, the online publication .
Cyprus Finance Minister Kikis Kazamias visited the area designated for the construction of the project and approved the start of work.
The project, which will include the construction of a luxury five-star hotel, an apartment complex, and a shopping center, will be located in the city center opposite the Nicosia Hilton Hotel. The cost of the project, which is the result of cooperation between Cyprus and the Qatari investment company Qatari Diar, is estimated at several million euros.
As reported , Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and President of Cyprus Dimitris Christofias signed an agreement on the construction of an elite complex in 2010.
