Russia is launching charter flights to Cuba, reports the portal of the Association of Tour Operators .
AZUR air will open flights to Cayo Coco airport from November 4, and from November 5, it will start flights to Santa Clara (from where tours to Cayo Santa Maria will be formed). The flights are still planned only from Vnukovo International Airport with a frequency of twice a week on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
All flights to Santa Clara from AZUR air will be charter flights, they are scheduled on Thursdays and Sundays. In Cayo Coco, charter flights will operate on Wednesdays, and on Saturdays, AZUR air organizes regular flights to the resort.
Tour operator PEGAS Touristik is also expected to launch a flight program from Moscow to Cuba (also to Santa Clara and Cayo Coco) in early November. Its strategic partner, Nordwind airline, already has permits for regular flights to Cuba's islands, which are allowed for flights from Russia. The exact schedule will be announced shortly.
