According to Yeni Alanya, the Society of Active Journalists of Alanya (ALGC) recently visited the district chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) Mehmet Sharani Tavly.
Tavly said that "new rules are expected to be introduced for the sector, which has recently been losing blood due to the fact that foreigners have problems with obtaining residency." According to him, the requirement for the value of real estate under the program for obtaining a residence permit based on ownership will be reduced from 200,000 to 100,000 dollars.
Of course, the entire business of Alanya will be happy to receive such news, but so far there have been no official statements or concrete actions from the authorities in this direction.
The President of the Alanya Contractors Association (MÜTBIR), Mustafa Kucuker, also demanded the opening of areas where visitors cannot obtain a residence permit today. "The density of foreigners in these places has now fallen below the established criteria, and the districts are ready to reopen," he said.
