In August, Montenegro was visited by 583 million tourists, which is 6.5% more than the year before, reports Balkanpro , citing data from the statistical Agency Monstat.
In the last summer season visitors spent in the country of 4.03 million overnight stays, 0.8% more compared to the same period last year. A foreign visitor had 94.1% of overnight stays in local people – 5,9%.
Among all Montenegrin regions most popular with tourists remains Budva. It took almost a half for the campers to 45.5%. On the second and third set of Herceg Novi (18%) and Ulcinj (11,64%). A little behind Budva (11%).
The most numerous tourists – tourists from Serbia (30.6% of overnight stays). They are followed by residents of Russia (22.4 per cent), Bosnia and Herzegovina (12.4 per cent), Ukraine (4,3%), Germany (3.1 per cent), Belarus (2.8 percent), Italy (2,7%), Poland (2,6%). On the coast of Montenegro had 98,2% spent by tourists time to mountain resorts is 0.9%, and the capital of the country is 0.6% of the overnight stays.
