Investments in commercial real estate in Portugal are growing.
According to a report published by the consulting company Cushman & Wakefield, in June 2023, investments in commercial real estate in the country increased by 18%.
"Investments in commercial real estate in the second quarter of 2023 recovered compared to the previous quarter: transactions were made for 499 million euros, resulting in sales in the first half of this year amounted to 749 million euros. This means an increase of 18% year-on-year," the consulting company explains. The main contribution to the result was made by the acquisition of six hotels of the Dom Pedro group. It accounted for about 50% of total sales.
The volume of transactions in the office real estate market in the 2nd quarter amounted to 38,320 sq. m. This is 77% less than in the same period of 2022.
