Home sales across Turkey in August 2025 increased by 6.8% compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute.
Provinces with the most transactions: Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.
In August, 1,810 apartments were sold to foreigners and houses, which is 19.8% less compared to the same month last year. The share of housing sales to foreigners in the total volume of transactions in August was 1.3%.
Provinces where citizens of other countries were most active:
- Istanbul (671 units),
- Antalya, including Alanya ( 576 units),
- Mersin (123 units).
Home sales to foreigners in January and August decreased by 13.2% compared to the same period last year (1,377 transactions).
As usual, Russians were the most active in the market (283 transactions). This is followed by Iranians (155 transactions), Germans (118 transactions), Ukrainians (118 transactions), Iraqis (118 transactions), Azerbaijanis (77 transactions) and Kazakhstanis (68 transactions).
