In 2024, Valencia took the first place in the list of the best cities for expats. The rating was compiled by the community of people who live and work abroad, InterNations.
The places were allocated based on a survey of more than 12,500 expats living in 53 cities (35 countries). Cities were assessed on aspects such as quality of life, ease of adaptation, personal finances and more. The respondents were asked to answer questions about what it is like to live abroad: the level of expenses, the degree of job satisfaction, how easy it is to make friends in a new place.
