Sales of primary housing in Turkey in March 2026 increased by 1.3% compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 35,725 units.Sales of second homes decreased by 3.6% and amounted to 77,642 units. These are the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute.
Mortgage transactions increased by 35.9% compared to March 2025 and amounted to 25,978 units.Transactions without using credit facilities decreased by 9.6%.
Home sales to foreigners decreased in March by 20% compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 1,353 units.The share of transactions with non-residents in total home sales was 1.2%.
Home sales to foreigners in the period from January to March decreased by 14.9% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 4,165 units.
Citizens of other countries were most active in the provinces in MarchIstanbul (623 transactions), Antalya (431 transactions) and Mersin (87 transactions).
Russians made the most home purchases in Turkey - 229, Iranians - 130 and Germans - 84. Followed by Ukrainians - 72, Azerbaijanis - 60.
