According to the National Institute of Statistics, home sales in Turkey increased by 20.6% in 2024 compared to the previous year.
In December, they increased by 53.4% compared to 2023.
Last year, foreigners purchased 32.1% fewer properties in Turkey than a year earlier. The share of non-residents among buyers of apartments and houses was 1.6%
Citizens of other countries preferred provinces:
- Istanbul (8416 transactions),
- Antalya, which includes Alanya (8,223 transactions),
- Mersin (2112 transactions).
In December, sales to foreigners increased by 17.2% compared to December 2023. The indicator for the last month of 2024 is the highest for the entire year.
Russians were the most numerous buyers of real estate among the newcomers (4,867 transactions). They are followed by Iranians (2,166 transactions) and Ukrainians (1,631 transactions).
