Sales of new housing in Turkey in April increased by 9.6% compared to the same month last year and amounted to 40,306.
Sales of second homes in April decreased by 0.3% compared to April last year to 86,502. These are the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute.
Home sales with mortgages across Turkey increased by 40.5% in April compared to the same month last year.
The largest number of sales was recorded in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.
Sales of commercial real estate in the primary market in Turkey increased by 14.3% in April, and in the secondary market by 8.7%.
Home sales to foreigners in April were approximately at the same level as in April last year (-1.1%), amounting to 1,516 units. Compared to April 2024, they increased by 10%. The share of sales to foreigners in the total volume of housing sales was 1.2%.
Home sales to foreigners in January and April decreased by 11.6% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 5,681 units.
