Over the year, real estate in Poland has risen in price by 6.6%, writes RBC .

The strongest rise in prices was in the city of Sosnowiec - by 23% - from 4074 zlotys to 5000 zlotys. Nine of the 16 cities surveyed had the highest prices ever recorded over the past year. Thus, in Warsaw the average price rose to 11,200 zlotys per square meter, in Krakow to 9600 zlotys, and in Wroclaw to 8588 zlotys. In Gdansk, the record price of a "square" has reached 9983 zlotys. The cost records were also updated by Bydgoszcz, Gdynia, Lublin, Radom and Szczecin.

It is noted that in February 2021, Polish banks issued more mortgage loans than in the same month last year. The average interest rate rose from 2.42% (the lowest ever) to 2.44%.

Analysts are confident that such a boom in the real estate market will not last forever and will decline as soon as interest rates on loans rise significantly.
