Property sales in Turkey increased by 3.9% in 2024 compared to 2023, Hurriyet Daily News reports.
Land Registry data shows that 18.7 million transactions were registered across the country last year.Of these, more than 3 million related to the sale of real estate, including houses, commercial premises and land plots.
Istanbul ranks first in terms of the number of real estate purchase and sale transactions (357,873). It is followed by Ankara (209,244) and Izmir (144,183).These cities are also the leaders in terms of income from real estate transactions: in Istanbul, they exceeded 27.5 billion liras.
