According to official statistics, average prices for apartments in new buildings in Montenegro increased by 20% in 2024 to 1,844 euros per square meter. In 2023, the increase was 14%.
In the capital Podgorica, new housing prices rose by 14% last year to 1,810 euros per square meter.
In the coastal region, prices for apartments and houses increased by almost 30% over the year to 2028 euros, and in the central region by 36% to 945 euros, the statistical office Monstat reported.
In the north of the country, the average cost of new housing rose by 7.1% to 1,306 euros per square meter. In the 4th quarter of 2024, the price per square meter of housing in the country increased by 8.2% year-on-year to 1,936 euros.
