Wine cellar on St. George's Hill on Balaton
The vineyard area is 14 hectares, of which about 6 hectares are located next to the cellar, on the south side, these are new plantings (2000, 2003 planting).The predominant grape variety is blue grapes (Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Kekfrankosh), in smaller quantities - white grapes (Chardonnay, Surquebarat and Sauvignon Blanc).
A further 8 hectares are located next to the brick factory in the Modiorosh vineyard, of which 2.5 hectares are white grapes (Surquebarat and Sauvignon Blanc), constantly replenished with new vines and maintained in good condition.
In 2015, a new vineyard was laid on 5.5 hectares: Rhenish Riesling was located on 1 hectare, Italian riesling on 3.5 hectares, Nutmeg Ottonel on 1 hectare. The first harvest, taking into account the restriction of harvesting for quality reasons, took place in 2017.
The harvest of 2017 from a vineyard with an area of 14 hectares is 1600 quintals of grapes with limited yield for quality reasons.
The wine cellar is located on the fenced territory of the garden.
The area of the basement, located in the old part of the cellar, is about 80 sq.m., acclimatized. A bottling room with an area of about 30 sq.m., a barrel maturation cellar of about 80 sq.m. Above the cellar there is a living room with an area of about 100 sq.m. - rooms, kitchens, bathrooms.
Under the Parking there is a new press shop and processing, a storage room with an area of 125 sq.m., with air conditioning, tiled. Basically, acid-resistant storage containers, an automatic pneumatic press for 16 hectoliters, pumps, a berry chopper are located there.
Wine processing, loading and unloading operations, filling tools: semi-automatic screw cap capper, semi-automatic stopper for corks, 40X40 filter.
The productivity during harvesting is 100-120 quintals of grapes per day.
The total storage capacity of wine is about 1000 hectoliters.
Wine stock currently (2021) in barrels: white wine 140 hectoliters, pink 50 hectoliters, red: 250 hectoliters. Bottled wine of several harvests of about 3000 bottles. Natural grape juice (filtered wort) 10 hectoliters. This year, a harvest of 2000 quintals of grapes is expected.
Social premises and communications:
Guest toilets for men and women on the side of the building.
Reception of visitors only outdoors, on a terrace of 120 sq.m. - 60 sq.m. terraces - covered, for 80 seats. In 2021, a decorative oven was installed.
